Update: Summer, 2022

Life!

The local Alliance churches in Paraguay continue to make exciting progress toward becoming an entirely self-sufficient, church-planting, missionary-sending network of churches. Local churches have local leaders, and local leaders are excited about the future and actively being trained. We are getting closer and closer to the day when the local leaders themselves are able to train the next generation of local leaders.

As a family, we are still continuing to address health concerns within the family. We continue making progress in many areas. There are also significant health milestones and pre-requisites for a return to the field that we are still waiting to see. We have a series of appointments scheduled with specialists in Cincinnati to address Simmy's ongoing esophagitis and nausea. Please pray for healing and wisdom for our family during this time.

This summer Anna Belle was sponsored to join Washington International Church at the Life Conference, a huge Christian Alliance conference for high school students held every three years. It was a wonderful time for her to be spiritually encouraged, make new friends, and see old friends from all over the world. It was a wonderful blessing for her and our family.

As the summer has come to a close our kids have started a new school year here in Baton Rouge. Anna Belle has started high school in the gifted program at a public high school. Simeon is doing a hybrid in-person/virtual middle school curriculum at a Christian school. Grace is enjoying making new friends in second grade at another Christian school.

We are very grateful for your generous support and encouragement! We have been so encouraged and blessed by the love, encouragement and support we have continued to receive during the past year, even though it has not been what we expected. Thank you!
