Not leaving the house is nicer with hammocks.

Updates

It hasn't been long since our last update, but a lot has happened (all over the world).

TL/DR: We're doing fine. Simmy is still recovering. Shut in, like everyone else.

Simmy had a more extensive allergy patch test last week. His current "do not eat list" includes wheat, peanuts, milk, oats, rice, chicken, pork, eggs, yeast, sesame, celery, qinoa, sweet potatoes, pumpkin, papaya, strawberry, and watermelon. His energy and mood have greatly improved, but he still feels nauseous most days. His doctor appointments (none urgent) for April have all been postponed. Please continue to pray for him.

We have been not leaving our house (except for Stephen going to get groceries a few times per week) for about 2 weeks now. Stephen and Sarah are continuing language study, with classes over Zoom and tests over Googledocs. The kids' teachers have been emailing us work for them to do. Our experience has been similar to that of people in the same situation in the US, and all over the world. On the plus side, we recently discovered that we can get the local version of Costco (PriceSmart) and the local "everything" store (Universal) delivered to our door, which is nice.

Also, I (Stephen) managed to chop down the bananas from the top of our slender banana tree with a machete without hurting the tree or myself. Pretty proud of that.

Thank you so much for praying! Please continue to pray for us, especially for God to show his healing power in our family, and for all of us to have truly joyful hearts that glorify God in all circumstances.
