Updates
Since our last update we moved into the home we plan to stay in until the borders open. We've had some work to do (nice but old home), but every problem we've encountered has been solved.
As we were moving in, a tree was knocked over in a storm, taking out an electrical pole. By God's grace, the car we have been driving was not in the driveway that took the brunt of the falling tree (which is where it normally would have been), and the power lines held up the tree enough to prevent most of the potential damage to both house and car.
All three kids have started school at ACA in Asuncion, Paraguay. New starts are always an adventure, but so far the kids are enjoying their school, teachers, and classmates. They are beginning to get settled down into the new rhythm.
Anna Belle mysteriously came down with suspected strep throat (according to the teledoc). We need Agatha Christie to explain to us how she got it, after barely leaving the house for months. The antibiotics have been working well, and she is doing much better now.
We have completed all of our exams at our language school in Costa Rica. We will graduate next week, after completing our final week of classes.
We will be transitioning into our next phase of ministry. We will continue to focus on building our language skills, in less academic settings.
Simmy has had several doctors appointments. He is gaining weight. His list of symptoms has been whittled down to one: persistent nauseau. We have seen slow and steady progress, and look forward to seeing the final breakthrough.
