Updates
We've had a full 6 weeks since our last update. Here's a snapshot of how we're doing.
-We've been to a lot of doctor's appointments lately. The radiologist had an especially interesting logo (it's the 4th picture below).
- We're aiming to have Simmy back in school on March 16. Please continue to pray for his health and recovery as we work to stabilize his eosinophilic esophagitis.
-We had a good opportunity during the past month to connect with teammates, both coworkers here in Costa Rica and some that we will continue working with once we move to Paraguay. Pictures of some of the animals we saw along the way are below.
-We are currently exploring the many joys of intransitive verbs in Spanish. By us are being learned the verbs.
-We are 6 months into both language study and living abroad. It's encouraging to know that this stage of normal, healthy skill acquisition is characterized by falling confidence and rising discouragement, while this stage of normal, healthy cultural adaptation is marked by increasing frustration and falling life-satisfaction. Please continue praying for us as we navigate normal.
Thank you so much for praying! Please continue to pray for us, especially for God to show his healing power in our family, and for all of us to have truly joyful hearts that glorify God in all circumstances.
