Updates

The Short Version: We are in the US now. We are continuing language school remotely. We are still planning to complete language school and move to Paraguay at the end of the summer.

We have had an eventful month. Our language school made the decision that many schools around the world have made: all of our classes for the next trimester will continue, but will be online. The kids' school will also continue to be online. At the same time, Simmy has not noticeably improved in the past few months under the medical care we have received in San Jose.

Putting these things together, with advice from our leadership, we decided to return to the United States for the summer. We will continue our coursework online (exactly as if we were still in Costa Rica), and have an appointment scheduled for Simmy with a gastroenterologist in Baton Rouge.

We are still on schedule to make it to Paraguay in August, as we originally planned. Of course, that depends on the borders and flights opening up, and seeing Simmy improve as he receives additional medical care.

Right now, we are seeing God provide for us as we handle unexpected circumstances. We would not have chosen the circumstances, but we are blessed to see how God has been providing for us. This resonates with the situation most people are experiencing around the world right now.
