Our first month in Costa Rica

There's always a reason to celebrate! God's children can learn from the Costa Ricans.

Updates

We are now well on our way into our first trimester of language study. We have now learned enough to have a much better idea of how much we don't know, but we're making progress. The kids are getting settled into their school and new lives. Gracie is doing gymnastics, Simmy is playing soccer, and Anna Belle is learning Tae Kwon Do.

This month's moment of awesome: Anna Belle really wanted a beanbag chair when we moved in, but we had trouble finding one at anything approaching a reasonable price. A week or so ago we were were stopped at a red light and saw one in the storefront across from us. We pinned the location in Waze, and this past weekend we were able to find our way back. Anna Belle is now the proud and happy owner of a pink beanbag chair!

Second moment of awesome: The kids were a little sad about not being able to have a pet in our rented home. Then, last week we found a bunch of tadpoles in a puddle under a swing at the nearest park. We brought some home, and we're watching them grow!
